According to the news portal of the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade (MIMT), Seyyed Mohammad Atabak, speaking today at the National Industry and Mining Day ceremony attended by President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, stated that the country is at a crucial "historical turning point." He remarked: "Today, our responsibility is heavier than ever, and we must continue the path of development with more precise planning."
Honoring the memory of "Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei" and the martyrs of the "Third Imposed War," he said: "The current authority and self-belief of the nation, particularly in the industrial and mining sectors, are indebted to the vision and efforts of this great martyr, and the impact of his services will become even more evident in the future."
The Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade, referring to the country's unique economic conditions, added: "In recent years, the country has faced not only a military event but also an all-out assault aimed at undermining hope, willpower, and national cohesion. However, Islamic Iran has stood firm with authority, and today, the country's position on the international stage has significantly improved compared to the past."
He emphasized: "Under current conditions, speed and situational awareness in making economic decisions are of paramount importance. Timely and swift decision-making enhances national capacity, whereas any delay or incorrect decision in these specific circumstances will impose heavy costs on the country."
Atabak, emphasizing "consensus and solidarity" within the 14th Government, stated: "Experience has proven that solidarity and convergence among agencies have always been the key to finding solutions. Today, to maintain the nation's stability, all institutions and ministries must set aside sectoral perspectives and pursue the continuity of production as their primary, shared objective."

Referring to the approved allocation of 700 thousand billion tomans (Hemmat) to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), he clarified: "According to the latest statistics, approximately 40 percent of these funds have been disbursed to industrial and mining units, and this process is being rigorously continued to strengthen the working capital of production facilities."
Atabak emphasized: "Just as safeguarding the Strait of Hormuz is vital for national sovereignty, protecting the production sector is the strategic chokepoint of the country's economic sovereignty and must be treated as a national priority."
He expressed his appreciation for the managers, entrepreneurs, workers, and specialists who have strived to maintain production under difficult economic conditions, stating: "Future generations will judge us based on our performance during these challenging times."
